Air Force Commander handed end of the investigation report of the CN-235 FAC 1261

Air Major General Carlos Eduardo Bueno Vargas, commander of the Colombian Air Force gave the public the definitive conclusion on the causes of the crash of CASA CN-235 FAC 1261, wrecked on 31 July.

In record time a team of experts from the Air Institution, accompanied by researchers from Airbus Military and General Electric, managed to conclude that the fall of the aircraft was due to severe icing in the planes of the same.

Also, specialists as causes of the accident marred the modifications made to the aircraft, a collision, a takedown by tatuco, missile or any other element and an engine failure or the aircraft structure.
