After the mission in Villa de Leyva

This operation concluded; however, the work of the Colombian Air Force continues in Tolima where in the last week have flown 42 hours, there have been 273 downloads and have sprayed 68,796 gallons of water and retardant liquid to quell the fires presented in stocks Chicoral, Coello, La Maria Melgar, Cunday and the Palmara.

Air Force not only committed to the security of Colombians but to social responsibility, environmental protection and welfare of our compatriots continue to alert throughout the national territory, to provide its air support when required by the System for National Disaster Risk Management; aware that in many cases only the guardians of the sky, with bambi bucket system can save the lives of people, flora and fauna when these uncontrollable forest fires occur.
